Views of the Sierra Nevada are common throughout the Carson Valley. Many of us are lucky enough to see these views from the windows of our homes and observe the effects of the ever-changing seasons on the mountains. This winter view is probably the most iconic of all the images, since at the top of the mountain is Heavenly Valley, a popular ski resort in Lake Tahoe. Many skiers are well aware of this view if they drive from any points east of Tahoe and must take the drive “up the hill” to reach their ski destination! This painting is in a 2” wide dark brown wood frame.
